Arctic Travel Iceland has been around since 1997 as an official adventure company based on old roots of experience of the founder and owner - Daddi Bjarnason

Daddi Bjarnason has been involved in tourism ever since 1991 when he travelled to Nepaland Tibet to get the hang of White water rafting, followed with trips to f.i. New Zealand, Australia, Norway, Austria and France for rafting and experiencing different countries and cultures along the way.

Daddi also founded Arctic Rafting / Arctic Adventures in 1997 which he operated until he sold it partly in 2006 and fully in 2008 to former employees. It is now, and making us proud, one of the biggest adventure companies in Iceland.

Since 1999 Daddi has also been involved in films and commercials as a Location Scout and Location Manager, where his extensive knowledge of this fantastic country came in very useful, as well as Facility Manager and Transportation Coordinator.

Biggest films being Tomb Raider, Tomorrow Never Dies, Batman Begins, Flags of our Fathers, Prometheus, Oblivion and Thor II, TV series Game of Thrones and Sense8 and countless commercials.

We have always kept a fairly low profile, focusing on providing great personal service and will continue to do so in this everchanging world of Facebook and Tripadvisor.
